So, when should You change Your AC Filters?
AC Filter Manufacturers recommendations vary about changing Your filters from 30 days, 90 days, and even longer. Your neighbors might tell You that they “only change them there filters seasonally”. What it really boils down to is the fact that You need to change Your AC filters whenever they are dirty— and if You are not checking them… How are You going to know if they are dirty or even how long they can last. Remember every house is different on the inside.
Check Your AC Filters Monthly
To protect Your AC system, Temperature Patrol Air Conditioning recommends checking filters every 30 days. Yes we do. Easy now, that does not mean You need to replace them filters, just check ’em folks. If You wait longer You are more likely to forget about them filters and damages to Your AC system could happen.
Your clean AC filters could help keep bacteria, mold, dust, and more nasty stuff out of Your home and Your lungs; they can also help keep Your AC systems running smoothly. AC systems will definitely work harder when they are trying to “breathe” through a dirty filter and so could You.
(BTW Your filters might only be filtering 4% of what is in Your home.)
Is Your AC filter filtering what could be inside Your home? Like:
- Pet dander
- Dust mites
- Mold spores
- Pollen
- Cooking fumes
- Cigarette Smoke or other nasty stuff…. Is it filtering only 4% of this stuff ???
When in doubt, have Temperature Patrol Air Conditioning out.
